Technical analysis – another active strategy
So, we’ve reached video number eight! This video is part of a series of investment focused videos. In this series, I discuss where to invest during a crisis. As you now know, whether there is a crisis or not, it should not affect your investment strategy. Now, how do you invest using technical analysis? I have friends who are using technical analysis to prosper during this crisis! But your investment strategy is key. This video follows on from my previous video on active investing. In this video I’m providing an introduction into technical analysis.
Can be used for many investments…
You can use technical analysis for many different types of investment. I know people who do bitcoin technical analysis or technical analysis of stocks for instance. What we’re looking at here is technical analysis for beginners. You can do technical analysis of stock trends, FOREX trading for beginners (EUR USD technical analysis for example) or S&P 500 technical analysis.
Some investors use a combination of fundamental and technical analysis. I created this video to help beginners learn technical analysis. This video will help those interested in stock market technical analysis, FX, commodities or cryptocurrency trading. I also cover online trading and stock trading apps including those offered by Charles Schwab, Etrade and Fidelity.
There are risks…
Now you should be aware that there are some criticisms and issues with technical analysis. I cover some of the common problems. For example, how do you handle market manipulation? What do you do if your buy signals are incorrect? And I also provide some solutions to these problems.
Technical analysis is complex
It is important to understand that by it’s very nature, technical analysis is quite complex. You need to have an analytical mind. You need to enjoy working with numbers and charts. Mathematically inclined investors will appreciate this discipline. If this is not you, then technical analysis is probably not for you.
Finally, as mentioned in the video there are a couple books you can look at to give you more detail:
- Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets by John J. Murphy
- Getting Started in Technical Analysis by Jack D. Schwager
This video will get you started with stock trading and the other assets where technical analysis is relevant. Discover how to invest using technical analysis and if it’s right for you!
